"Bala Turangga" (also known as Detasemen Kavaleri Berkurus/Denkavkud) is a term used to indicate a mounted cavalry unit in the military, especially in the TNI AD (Indonesian National Army). Denkavkud has the main task of carrying out operations, especially security patrols that are not limited to roads. In addition, they are also responsible for the training and education of military horses.

Armies are always described & identified as big & strong man but in this photo, all the armies are females. They are not just strong, but also beautiful. Symbolizing that women and men are equal and they have their own strength. These armies are dancing with “kuda lumping”

“Kuda Lumping”, also known as Jaran Kencak or horse dance, is a traditional Indonesian art form that involves a group of performers riding on a bamboo horse or a horse made from woven materials. This performance is often accompanied by music, typically featuring gamelan ensemble, and is characterized by its energetic dance movements and vibrant costumes.

The term "Kuda Lumping" translates to "lumping horse" in English. It is a cultural manifestation that combines elements of dance, drama, and local folklore, often depicting stories of heroism, spirituality, and community values. The performance can also include trance states, where participants may exhibit unusual behaviors, further enriching the cultural experience.
